Sarah-Vyne Vassallo


Sarah-Vyne Vassallo is a recognised leader in Australia for the professionalisation of inclusive arts practice and has a lived experience of invisible disability. A recipient of the prestigious Winston Churchill Fellowship and Artistic Director of Murmuration, Sydney's flagship integrated performing arts company. Sarah-Vyne is a director, choreographer, writer and creative consultant with a career spanning two decades. Her agile interdisciplinary arts practice intersects dance, theatre, production design, screen and arts development. Sarah-Vyne has earned a reputation as a well-loved artist with a wealth of industry knowledge and expertise.

Throughout her career she has worked with Sydney Festival, Sydney Comedy Festival, Sydney Opera House, Museum of Contemporary Arts, Vivid Sydney, Create NSW, Festival of Dangerous Minds, DirtyFeet, Bankstown Arts Centre, Art Gallery of NSW, Sidetrack Theatre, Accessible Arts, Adelaide Fringe, Taste Creative, Disney, ABC, Screentime, Foxtel, Channel 7 and SBS.

Sarah-Vyne is passionate about creative learning, professional development and knowledge sharing and is a resident lead artist for the Sydney Opera House, Creative Learning in Leadership Program. She has also been a guest teaching artist for The Song Room, Sydney Dance Company, Museum of Contemporary Arts, The Arts Unit and others. Most recently Sarah-Vyne has been appointed DirtyFeets Associate Artist.

Sarah-Vyne has worked on screen as an Actress; in Australian series ‘All Saints’ and in TVC’s for NRMA, Foxtel, Vodaphone, Australian Government; as Movement Director for music videos with indie sensation The Jezebels, The Griswolds, Reece Mastin, Kayzel; and as a set decorator for TVC campaigns CHOOSI, ISOwhey and most recently SBS Doco-Series Perspective Shift. She is currently in development for a new live children’s show in partnership and fantasy adventure television series.
