Creating Work with Felicity Nicol

APPROACHES TO CREATING WORK

Felicity chats about her approaches to creating work - especially around values and how they are linked to creative work. This video includes plenty to get you thinking about yourself, your own creative practice and how to tackle that exciting beginning point where no idea is off the table!

Felicity has been leading workshops with our fantastic Evolve Housing for Youth program out in Parramatta, working closely with young people to develop skills, confidence, social connections and brilliant creative pieces. Felicity is a brilliant director that has worked all across Sydney, as well as nationally and internationally!

CREATING AND MENTAL HEALTH

Felicity chats about creating work and mental health. Taking care of your mental health should always be a top priority and there are steps that can be taken to assist you and those around you when approaching the creation and presentation of work! Felicity talks from her own experience and the steps she takes to best care for her own health throughout the process in the hopes it may be helpful to you and others.

This video is by no means the only approach to mental health when you're undergoing a creative work. Everyone should regularly check in with themselves and chat with those they are working with in the creative space so everyone is on the same page. Where necessary consult with mental health professionals.
