Waterloo. You've seen the towers. You've read the headlines. But do you know the neighbourhood?
On Wednesday April 20, 2022 Milk Crate Theatre launches a series of six short films, entitled WATERLOO. Developed and adapted through in-person and online workshops over the last 12 months, these six original short films are created and performed by residents of the Waterloo Housing Estate.
This film launch coincides with the final weeks of the public exhibition of the modified Waterloo (South) Planning proposal - exactly one year on from our planned short creative development of a live performance work. These short films bring stories and characters from Waterloo to life, highlighting their amazing resilience and strength as a community.
