Milk Crate Theatre is seeking an experienced Impact & Evaluation Manager to help demonstrate the power of arts-led social impact. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys turning stories, data and insights into compelling evidence that strengthens programs, informs strategy and influences the broader community sector.
Working closely with the CEO and creative team, you’ll lead the implementation of our Impact Measurement Framework, coordinate evaluation across our programs and help tell the story of the difference our work makes.

Through creative practice, we build confidence, connection and opportunity for Community Artists who have experienced homelessness, mental health challenges, disability, domestic and family violence, and other forms of social disadvantage.

About the Role
This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys both strategy and delivery. You will:
- Coordinate the implementation of Milk Crate Theatre’s Impact Measurement Framework.
- Collect, analyse and interpret qualitative and quantitative data.
- Produce impact reports, dashboards and our Annual Impact Report.
- Support grant reporting, acquittals and DEX reporting.
- Work alongside Creative Producers to embed evaluation into artistic programs.
- Coordinate the final stages of our nationally recognised Creating Impact project.
- Support research, advocacy and partnerships across the social impact sector.
- Help ensure our evidence translates into meaningful learning, stronger programs and increased investment.
About You
You are curious, analytical and values-driven. You enjoy making complex information accessible and understand that good evaluation is about people as much as data.
You’ll bring:
- Experience in monitoring, evaluation and impact measurement.
- Strong qualitative and quantitative research and analysis skills.
- Experience developing or implementing outcomes frameworks or program logic.
- Excellent report writing and communication skills.
- The ability to manage competing priorities while working independently.
- A collaborative approach and a genuine interest in arts, social justice or community development.
Experience in the not-for-profit, community, health, human services or arts sectors will be highly regarded.

Position: Permanent Part-Time (0.4–0.6 FTE, negotiable)
Salary: SCHADS Award Level 3 ($80,000–$85,000 pro rata), plus superannuation and salary packaging.
