Marketing Coordinator (Part-time)

Milk Crate Theatre is looking for a creative, organised and proactive Marketing & Administration Coordinator to join our team.
This is a unique opportunity for someone who loves creating engaging content, building audiences and keeping things running behind the scenes. You’ll play an important role in connecting our work with the wider community while supporting the day-to-day operations of an award-winning arts organisation creating social change.

About the role
Reporting to the CEO, this permanent part-time role combines marketing, communications and administration. You’ll help grow our audiences, strengthen our digital presence and ensure our organisational systems run efficiently.
The role is 0.4-0.6 FTE (15-22.5 hours per week) with flexibility around workdays and hours. Occasional evening and weekend work is required during performances and events.
You’ll be responsible for
- Creating engaging content across Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and YouTube
- Managing eDM campaigns and updating our WordPress website
- Developing marketing campaigns for productions, workshops and events
- Growing audience engagement and digital reach
- Supporting the CEO and producers with administration
- Coordinating meetings, organisational systems and document management
- Assisting with grant submissions, fundraising materials and partnership collateral
- Helping maintain a welcoming, organised and efficient office environment.
About you
You’ll be someone who enjoys balancing creativity with organisation and takes pride in producing high-quality work.
Ideally, you’ll bring:
- Experience in marketing and communications
- Excellent writing skills and an eye for engaging content
- Confidence using Canva and basic video editing software
- Experience managing WordPress websites
- Strong administration and organisational skills
- Experience with CRM or database systems
- The ability to manage competing priorities and work independently
- A passion for the arts and social impact.
Experience in the not-for-profit or community arts sector is highly regarded but not essential.
