Susan Bannigan

Chair

Susan is a well respected leader with an executive career that has spanned over 30 years in the financial service and philanthropic industries in Europe, Pacific and Australia. She has held leading roles across finance, philanthropy, treasury and sales. Susan was formally Chief Executive Officer of RAMS Home Loans, Chief Executive Officer of the Westpac Foundation and the founding Chief Executive Officer of the Westpac Scholars Trust. Susan’s former Board roles include Chair of the Business/Higher Education Round Table and Director of Variety NSW.

She is a Chartered Accountant, member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Sydney.

Richard Levine

Treasurer

Richard has worked in various financial, operation and general management roles, from start-ups to large corporates. He spent many years with Metcash (IGA, Mitre 10, Campbells Cash and Carry) before owning and operating independent supermarkets, focusing on turnaround opportunities. He also runs an operational consulting and outsourcing business, assisting medium-sized companies with their financial and operational processes.

Lauren O'Shaughnessy

Board Member

Lauren O’Shaughnessy is passionate about making an impact through philanthropy and has spent more than 15 years working in the philanthropic sector for corporate foundations at Macquarie Group, Clayton Utz and AMP, and in the not-for-profit sector at MS Research Australia.

Lauren is currently Global Director of Impact for the Macquarie Group Foundation and is responsible for measuring the social impact of the Foundation’s global grantmaking activities and leading the Foundation’s efforts around becoming a more equitable grantmaker. In addition to her role on the Board of Milk Crate Theatre, Lauren also mentors a young person through the Raise Foundation.

Katina Velkou

Board Member

Katina is passionate about social justice and believes it is a privilege to have spent the past 20 years working alongside Sydneysiders, empowering and supporting them to achieve their personal goals. A highly accomplished professional with expertise in program design, development and implementation, Katina has in-depth experience across a range of sectors including disability, refugees, people seeking asylum, humanitarian entrants and more recently the child protection sector.

Katina is currently the Manager Casework – Multicultural Child & Family Program at Settlement Services International, where she has held a number of senior roles. She has previously held senior social work and policy roles in The Housing Connection, the Asylum Seekers Centre, and the Australian Red Cross.
Katina has a Bachelor of Arts in Communications (Public Communications) from UTS and a Bachelor of Social Work (Hons Class I) from the University of Sydney where she was awarded the University Medal. She is a cricket tragic, a keen follower of politics both local and global and will be a social worker until the end of her days.

Grace Logvyn

Company Secretary

Grace currently works in Structured Finance Origination at an international Investment Bank and is responsible for originating, underwriting and executing structured finance transactions, with an emphasis on Asset Backed Securitisation.

In addition to her role with Milk Crate Theatre, Grace is engaged as a pro bono business consultant, providing consultancy services to domestic arts organisations, and is a passionate advocate for the local arts sector. Grace is an Ambassador for The Australian Ballet, regular volunteer for Friends of The Australian Ballet and a member of Philanthropy Australia’s New Generation of Giving programme.

Grace holds a Bachelor of Economics (Economics and Politics, with Distinction) from UNSW Sydney.
