STORIES FROM THE NEIGHBOURHOOD
The Lexington Hub, Maroubra

IMG_2075.JPG

Our newest adult workshop unites the community of Maroubra to craft bold, authentic stories and produce a powerful short film under the theme Stories from the Neighbourhood.

Participants collaborate from concept to screen — shaping real local narratives, building practical filmmaking skills, and transforming lived experience into compelling cinema.

Working together, this program strengthens creative confidence, deepens community connection, and ensures the voices of Maroubra are seen and heard.

In all that we do, we acknowledge that the foundations of Milk Crate Theatre are on Gadigal Land of the Eora Nation and that wherever we create, we walk in the footprints of the ancestors that were here before us. We pay respect to Elders past, present and to walk side by side, hand in hand for a healing future.
