Kay Armstrong

Facilitating Artist

2020 marks Kay's 30th year as a professional artist. Kay is an award-winning dance artist (Robert Helpmann Scholarship 2004 / 2013 Dame Peggy Van Praagh Fellowship) Currently Kay is investigating the fusion of her visual arts and performance practice in her creative studio in Western Sydney.

Amongst recent credits she won first place in the 2019 Liverpool Arts Society Awards, was finalist for the 2018+2019 Contemporary Art Awards, four years running finalist in the Fishers Ghost Art Award (2016-2019), Finalist in the international photo competition Head On Festival Photo Awards(2017), Ranked 8th for the Australian Photography Awards and Top 20 for the Australasian's Top Emerging Photographers Award (2019). Her works have been seen in curated group exhibitions in both Melbourne and Sydney.

Tandem to her creative practice Kay also continues to mentor emerging dance artists and continue her creative facilitation work in the community arts sector.
