Tammy Dang
Facilitating Artist
Tammy is a multi-disciplinary artist and arts worker who has worked in screen, theatre, photography and community arts work. When she is not producing community arts events and programs, she is either taking photos and shooting videos, or bustling around in the theatre. She attended UNSW to complete her Law and Media (Screen and Sound Production) degrees and is currently co-running a photo and film production business called My Tiger Productions. In 2023, she was awarded the winner of the Fairfield Mayor's Award for Creative Arts as a recognition of her commitment to the field.
Tammy spent three years training with PYT Ensemble in theatre including production design & tech, acting, directing, producing and more. As a part of the Ensemble, she has co-devised and acted in 'KHair: A Message, An Omen, A Blessing' in 2022 with a fully sold-out second season in 2025. She has also been selected to be a part of the Company team in 2023 where she has co-devised, produced and production designed 'Tuan's Party' which had a fully sold out season in 2023 and 2025. Tammy has also worked on various productions under technical and production design roles including 'Action Star' which was premiered at the Adelaide Oz Asia Festival and many others at PYT shows and festivals. And, she has been working as artist in residence at PYT developing her fun coming-of-age theatre show.
Aside from theatre, Tammy also co-runs My Tiger Production, a film and photo production business. Through this, she has directed and produced numerous music videos, including some being selected at the Clipped Festival; worked as a producer and second unit director on some feature films, including 'From All Sides' (dir. Bina Bhattacharya) and 'It's Our Time' (dir. Joy Hopwood); and photograph at events like Vogue and have editorial pieces that have been showcased at exhibitions.
