Headway GENERATE 2023 offers you critical time, space, mentorship and accountability to apply your creative skills to the generation of your own self-directed project. Led by you, Headway GENERATE acts in unison with your artistic goals and provides the opportunity to engage with industry practices that refine your creative vision. Supported by Milk Crate Theatre's Associate Artist, you receive dramaturgical support towards your works-in-progress and produce an in-house sharing of your creative work at the conclusion of the program.
PROGRAM STRUCTURE:
Headway GENERATE is a self-directed program delivered in a collaborative, visionary and respectful space. You will develop your artistic practice alongside fellow Milk Crate Theatre Collaborative Artists in a series of weekly three-hour workshops that include:

A MAKERSPACE where you will develop your creative works in-residence at Alexandria Town Hall, share works-in-progress and receive constructive feedback.

An IDEAS EXCHANGE where you will receive individual support towards the development of your creative project from Milk Crate Theatre's Associate Artist.
PLEASE NOTE:
Participation in this program does not guarantee that your work will be made, or that Milk Crate Theatre can promise any future production of your ideas. Headway GENERATE is recommended for experienced artists who have a creative idea or project they are seeking to develop. Acceptance into the Headway program is at the discretion of Milk Crate Theatre.
