Milk Crate Theatre Program Return
I just wanted to this opportunity to thank everyone for your patience, support and good graces as we have worked online for the last four months!
I know this time has been challenging but on the positive side, it’s been so lovely to see those of you who were able to jump online each week and I know there has been some amazing creativity coming through the online workshops.
I appreciate many of you are excited to get back on the floor and start classes again face-to-face and I want to reassure you all that we are working on this and speaking to our community partners and venues to establish timings.

As you can imagine, this is somewhat challenging, with the regulations changing daily and everyone wanting to make sure we return in the safest way possible. Many of our community partners are opening slowly with a full reopen not scheduled until 1 December 2021. When we do reopen it will need to be under a COVID safe plan and it is likely we will need to have check-ins, capped numbers on programs and masks in the space.
So that being said, we are committing to continue with our online workshops on Mondays with the Waterloo Creative Ensemble and on Tuesdays with the OLC group until we are able to confirm a date to return to face-to-face. This may mean we see out the year with these programs online, but we will confirm if anything changes.
In December, once things start to open more generally, we will look to schedule a Visioning Day to talk about the plans for 2022 and get everyone’s ideas around what type of projects and workshops you would like us to include in next year’s schedule and hopefully a big celebration for everyone to get together and share work from the online sessions.
Thank you once again for being part of the Milk Crate Theatre Family through this very tough period and I look forward to being in touch soon to share dates and invites for our December events.
