Exploring the Possibility of a Shared Outcomes Framework in the Arts.

The Social Impact Roundtable, hosted by Milk Crate Theatre and facilitated by Social Ventures Australia at the Juanita Nielsen Centre, Woolloomooloo in February 2024.

Milk Crate Theatre hosted a Social Impact Roundtable in February 2024 to understand the current state of outcomes measurement across small-medium sized arts organisations and assess the appetite for developing a shared outcomes framework.

The Roundtable aimed to achieve three goals:

  1. Understand the current experience of small-medium sized arts organisations in measuring the social outcomes of their work;

  2. Propose the development of a shared outcomes framework across the arts sector; and

  3. Connect arts organisations, government and philanthropic funders to invite dialogue around future opportunities and ways of working.

We are thrilled to share with you the outcomes paper from the Social Impact Roundtable session. We hope that for those who attended it summarises your thoughts and feelings from the session and for those who weren’t able to attend, we hope you get an idea of where this project is heading and why it is so needed in the arts sector.

Proudly supported by and a big thank you to the City of Sydney for their support of this session.
