Farewell and Welcome Back!

Our current Program Coordinator Paul Walker will be saying farewell to the Milk Crate Theatre office, his last day will be the 17th of April. Paul will be leaving this role to return to working as an independent artist and to start working as Administrator at Sydney's, Critical Path.

Paul has been supporting the team for the past year and will continue to work with Milk Crate Theatre as the Support Artist. Paul says, "It has been such an enriching experience being part of the team and I have gained so much from my time with the company in this role. Above all, I have enjoyed connecting with the Milk Crate Theatre community on a deeper level and am glad I can continue to be involved in the wonderful work the company is doing. I wish the company all the best for Natural Order and cannot wait to see the finished work in August."

Coming into the role of Program Coordinator will be Jessica Saras. Jess will support the team in organising and implementing Milk Crate Theatre's artistic programs, as well as assisting in the realisation of the company's next major work, Natural Order.

Jess is a professional working Actress who previously worked in the Milk Crate Theatre office off and on since 2016 - so she is no stranger to the company.

"I am absolutely thrilled to expand my role within Milk Crate Theatre. I've loved every minute of my time within the company since first arriving in 2016, so to be able to further support Margot, Lisa, our artists and participants is a wonderful privilege and honour."

Margot Politis, Artistic Director said, "It is always bittersweet to see one staff member leave, and another join us … Paul has been a wonderful asset to Milk Crate Theatre. His deep care for the wellbeing of participants in our programs will be sorely missed; there’s not one of us who hasn’t had their day brightened by a chat in the office with Paul!

Luckily for us though, Jess is equally as enigmatic, and brings a beautiful and vibrant energy with her. This will be vital to the organisation as we head towards our next major production.

We wish Paul all the best for his future creative pursuits!"
